Henry Cantrell and his partner launched the first Moore’s Firestone in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1960. Cantrell
put up his 1957 Ford automobile and partner, Barney Moore put up his homemade boat for collateral to launch the
company. The first year of operations sales were $300,000. Over the next 30 years, they successfully opened
thirty-two stores, four retread plants, and a parts warehouse and fuel service with locations in Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas,
and Oklahoma.
The flagship of current operations in the company is Moore’s Retread and Tire Company of Springdale,
Arkansas which is the primary provider of retread tires to J.B. Hunt and other major trucking companies. Additionally, in
1992, Henry purchased the CIMA Precision Mold Cure System for the Springdale plant. Subsequently, in 1998,
Cantrell and his partners purchased Macho Tire Company in Dallas and Houston, Texas. In 1999, they added another CIMA plant
in Dallas.
Priceless advice and consulting are a result of Henry Cantrell’s years of broad based business experience
and financial success. As a founding principal of Boggs Contracting Group, Inc., Henry’s proven track record
provides a solid foundation.
